Clients- Municipality of St-Gilles & Forest
Parcours d’artistes is a renowned Brussels-based arts biennial which takes place at the heart of creation: in the artists’ studios themselves! For every edition, visitors can follow the “parcours”, a mapped-out route between artist-run spaces, studios, ephemeral events, public spaces, and institutions. An initiative of the municipality of Saint-Gilles, Parcours d’artistes was created in 1988 with the aim of bringing together creative minds and curious spirits around a love for art.
2018 marked the event’s 30th birthday, and for this special edition, the municipality of St-Gilles teamed up with the neighbouring south-Brussels borough of Forest.
We enthusiastically joined the project, designing and producing a range of communication media including posters, leaflets, brochures, postcards, signage, tote bags, and goodies. While following the event’s global visual charter, we created an impactful and two-coloured twinned version for this special event, using the street names and local maps to create a playful and dynamic all-over motif.
Parcours d’artistes, a celebrated Brussels arts biennial, brings visitors directly into the heart of creativity: the artists’ studios. Since its creation in 1988 by the municipality of Saint-Gilles, the event has mapped out routes connecting artist-run spaces, studios, pop-up events, public areas, and institutions, fostering a shared love for art.
For its 30th anniversary in 2018, Saint-Gilles teamed up with the neighbouring borough of Forest for a special edition. We contributed enthusiastically, designing and producing communication materials like posters, brochures, postcards, signage, and tote bags. Inspired by street names and local maps, our bold, two-colour motif added a playful, dynamic touch.
